APPS Reports With Arabic Characters are showing Junks in PDF format

We had this issue and we solved it with the help of below options:-




When using bold [OR] italic [OR] font size other than 10 [OR] different fonts other than standard fonts, the PDF output will be having junk characters.


During runtime Oracle Reports need the fonts to be available in the server and fonts need to be mapped in uifonts.ali reports configuration file.


We faced this problem, Possible and Quick solution is using Oracle XML Publisher.


1. Create a RTF template
2. Map Oracle Report with RTF template via Oracle XML Publisher Administrator Responsibility.
3. Create a font Mapping and Upload the font via Oracle XML Publisher Administrator Responsibility.
